Asamoah Gyan, the former Ghana Black Stars Captain, has made a name for himself not only on the football field but also in the world of business. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Gyan has diversified his investments into various sectors, including real estate, transportation, music, and more. In this blog post, we will explore the list of businesses owned by Asamoah Gyan and delve into each of them to understand his business acumen and the impact of his investments in Ghana's economy.


1. Baby Jet Airline

Baby Jet Airlines was a planned airline service that was supposed to operate from Accra Kotoka International Airport. Asamoah Gyan, the former Black Stars Captain, obtained an air operator's license from the Ghanaian government, and the airline was expected to start operating in February 2019, but the launch did not materialize. However, in January 2022, the former Captain, who is the founder of Baby Jet Airlines, announced that the airline plans to commence operations soon. It is unclear whether the airline has abandoned its plans to launch as there have been no recent updates on its status.

2. Mama Vits Noodles and Rice

Asides from his successful football career, the Black Stars striker is also involved in importing food products such as rice and noodles. In the later parts of 2012, Asamoah Gyan introduced Mama Vits noodles and rice to the Ghanaian market, and both products have since gained popularity. The brand has made a significant impact on the Ghanaian market under Asamoah Gyan's leadership.

3. Asa Band

"Asa Band" is a live music band in Ghana known for its exceptional performances. The band aspires to be the best live band in Africa and globally. It was formed by Ghana Black Stars' former Captain Asamoah Gyan. Asa band was launched in December 2015 and has since been performing at functions. 

4. Event Management

Once again, Asamoah Gyan is at the helm of an event management company known as JetLink Events & Logistics. The company is based in Adjiringanor, Accra, and is primarily involved in organizing events. Additionally, JetLink also offers services such as stage construction, truss assembly, lighting, public address system installation, tent setup, and LED screen installation for all kinds of events.

5. Paradise Drinking Water

Paradise Pack Mineral water is also one of the businesses that Gyan has ventured into. The striker confirmed about 5 years ago that he has finally launched the production of “pure water” as an additional business.

6. Baby Jet Plaza

Asamoah Gyan, who used to play for Sunderland, is the proprietor of Baby Jet Plaza situated in East Legon, Accra. The plaza accommodates several stores and firms, including Cal Bank, HFC Bank, and GCB Bank. These banks are located within the aforementioned plaza.

7. Boxing Promotion

Asamoah Gyan is the mastermind behind Baby Jet boxing promotions. The boxing promotions firm previously managed Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe, who held the IBO Lightweight title, and a range of other promising up-and-coming fighters.

8. Transportation Business

Asamoah Gyan's transportation enterprise is one of his most significant ventures. He presently possesses more than 20 coaches (buses) that travel between Accra and Kumasi, as well as other neighboring nations.
