I want to ask you a simple question
1. Have you registered your sim card?
2. Which process did you go through?
3. Did you encounter a situation where you were informed that the network was unavailable and that you needed to restart the entire registration process?
Please find your way to any telecommunication network office, pick up your Ghana card and find out how many sim cards are connected to your Ghana card.
The results of the investigation left me perplexed. Let's dive in!!!
It may come as a surprise to discover that there are SIM cards registered under your Ghana card that you are not aware of. The reason for this is that some of those involved in SIM card registration is engaging in fraudulent activities.
This is what they do.
After you have completed the required steps of having your picture taken, providing personal information, and having your fingerprints scanned, some individuals will inform you that the system is currently offline or unavailable, thus necessitating a repeat of the entire process. It's worth considering the possibility that the online difficulty cited by the individual causing the delay may not have been a technical issue at all. They could have also registered the SIM card using your name and sold it to someone else, who could then engage in malicious activities under your identity. That is why I urge you to visit your telecommunications service provider and request information on the number of SIM cards associated with your Ghana card.
I am appealing to the National Communication Authority (NCA) and all telecommunications companies to provide us with a convenient short code that we can dial to check how many SIM cards are registered under our Ghana card.
