Based on a Kofi TV report, the winner of the 24th VGMA Awards was apprehended at Kotoka International Airport on the evening of July 19, 2023. He was arrested for a contractual breach related to a show scheduled for July 4 in Greece, which he failed to attend. After the incident, he was taken to the police headquarters in Accra.
Kofi Adoma, in a statement on his Kofi TV YouTube channel, revealed that the artiste of the year at VGMA 24 was stopped at the airport because he had been placed on a stop list following a complaint filed by a client. The issue arose from a contractual agreement where the artiste was supposed to perform on a cruise ship in Greece and was charged US$40,000 for the performance.
He had already received half of the payment and was supposed to receive the remaining balance after the show, which was scheduled for July 4. However, Blacko, the artiste, did not fulfill his commitment to the event.
