Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network, the media giant that owns GHOne TV, has just released a statement about their investigation into a viral video involving their star broadcaster, Serwaa Amihere, and an unidentified man.
On Friday, July 5, 2024, EIB Network announced they’ve wrapped up their investigation into the video that made the rounds back in April. They stated that after a detailed and thorough probe, they found no misconduct on Serwaa’s part. EIB also mentioned that there are ongoing criminal proceedings against those who allegedly leaked the video, and they’re fully cooperating with the police.
“After a thorough and impartial investigation, the committee found no misconduct or breaches by Serwaa Amihere in connection with the video,” the statement read. They reassured everyone that they’re working with the authorities to ensure justice is served.
You might remember that in April 2024, Serwaa Amihere publicly apologized after a video of her with a man in a cozy setting was leaked online. In her statement from April 24, she revealed that the video, made five years ago, was posted after months of threats and extortion attempts. This incident brought a lot of embarrassment to her, her family, her employers, and the brands she represents.
Serwaa expressed deep regret over the whole situation, acknowledging how it has strained her personal and professional life. “Five years ago, I underestimated my influence and what I would become. I am sincerely sorry for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration this has caused to my family, loved ones, the businesses and brands I represent, and to you,” she said.
So, that’s the latest! EIB Network has cleared Serwaa of any wrongdoing, and they’re committed to ensuring that those responsible for the leak face justice.
